Central Washington University - Image Audit
We are conducting stakeholder research for Central Washington University, including alumni, business leaders, and political leaders around the state to determine awareness and attitudes about CWU and higher education in general.

Statewide Televised Town Hall
Prior to the 2010 election, we designed and conducted an interactive poll with a random sample of voters from around the state. The program was televised live on TVW and featured panelists debating several ballot measures and interactive polling with the voters, who responded to our live survey questions using their touch tone telephones.

Premera
Changing opinion climate around health care reform. We conducted a survey and analysis of changing public opinion in the Northwest as compared and contrasted to national opinion.  The results were presented at Premera’s annual Performance and Outlook conference.

City of Auburn - Citizen Satisfaction and Priorities
The City of Auburn, WA  commissioned Elway Research to assess citizens’ thoughts and opinions about the quality of life in Auburn, priorities for the future and the level of satisfaction with the city government and City services. This survey is a follow up to a similar survey we conducted  2008 and 2009.

Thurston County / Tumwater Storm Water
We are conducting a telephone survey of residents of unincorporated Thurston County, plus Tumwater, to assess public awareness, opinions and behavior related to stormwater. This is the latest in a series of more than a dozen surveys we have done for jurisdictions around Puget Sound on this topic.  

Association of Washington Cities
We helped design and facilitate a Community Engagement Forum, bringing together 30 city officials for an all day conference to explore issues around citizen engagement.

Snohomish County / Dept of Ecology
We conducted a series of focus groups with owners and operators of water-dependent mobile businesses in Washington State in November, 2010. This project was sponsored by Snohomish County Surface Water Management, as the lead agency for a grant from the State Department of Ecology under the Municipal Stormwater Grants of Regional or Statewide Significance program.

The primary objective was to inform strategies to raise awareness and to effect behavior changes among these types of businesses to improve water quality.

Association of Washington Business
We helped in the design and facilitation of a strategic planning session at the annual AWB Policy Forum, using interactive polling and facilitated dialogue.

Resident Impact on Water Pollution -- Snohomish Conservation District
We are conducting surveys in three target areas of Snohomish County to aid in the development of communications and social marketing strategies to improve residents awareness and behavior regarding water pollution. The surveys will focus on livestock management, residential remediation for rainwater, and prevention of contamination from septic systems and pet waste.

Oregon Transformation Project
We conducted a series of focus groups in Metropolitan Portland to discuss local residents’ views of the economy, private business and economic development issues in Oregon.

Northwest Air Quality
First-ever statewide survey to determine the extent of home wood burning in Washington and to develop a profile of households who burn wood. The survey results are being used to develop communications strategies to improve wood burning practices in order to improve air quality in Washington communities.

Puget Sound Starts Here
We conducted pre and post campaign telephone surveys of residents of the Puget Sound region to track awareness and recall of the “Puget Sound Starts Here” communications campaign. The survey measured ad recall as well as behaviors related to stormwater and water quality.

  • Elway was a panelist for the “Western States Roundup” at the annual conference of the American Association of Public Opinion Research in Phoenix in May.
  • Elway has been elected to the Executive Council of the Pacific Chapter of the American Association of Public Opinion Research.
  • Elway keynotes the Pacific Northwest Elections Conference in June with Portland pollster Tim Hibbits. The conference brings together several hundred elections officers from five states.
  • Elway appears as a keynote panelist at the strategic policy  staff retreat for the Washington Hospital  Association.
  • TVW Gala. For the sixth year, Elway was the MC for the "Cammy Award" segment of the TVW Gala. Attendees voted for their favorite TVW clips of the year in several categories. http://www.tvw.org
